Set school boundaries

The School Boundaries tool in Messages XR Enterprise lets district administrators define the physical geographic boundaries for each district and school, either by uploading a boundary file or drawing boundaries manually on a map. Once boundaries are set, the School Finder Widget can be embedded on your website so families can look up which school their address is zoned for.

The School Boundaries tool was designed to allow you to draw the physical boundaries of your districts and individual schools. Provide your Finalsite representative with a file including all of your school boundaries, or you can manually draw the boundaries.

Here's how it works!

Navigate to Settings > Global Settings.
Scroll down and click the School Boundaries link.

The School boundaries page will open up. Select the district or school from the dropdown to begin configuring its boundaries.

Once you select a school, click the Pencil icon to draw the boundaries and the Street icon to display the street details.

Add the School Finder Widget to your district or school website to let community members enter their address and find out which school they’re zoned for.

- - Type the Width and Height of the widget.
  - Select Update to preview the size of the widget.
  - Copy the embed code and paste it to your website.

Wherever your School Finder Widget is embedded, community members and prospective families can enter an address in the search to view the school zones.
