This article details how to manage the Messages > Library tab in Messages XR Enterprise, including how to add categories and custom messages and how to control message visibility by school type. The Library tab is where you can view all existing custom and pre-made messages available to staff of all levels. Districts can create an unlimited number of customized messages and add them to the library at any time.

- Where is the Message Library? In Messages XR Enterprise, select Messages and then open the Library tab.
- Who can add categories and messages? Both district administrators and school administrators can add categories and custom messages to the library.
- What is the Teacher Communications messages tab? This tab appears only if the district has purchased the Teacher Communications add-on. It manages pre-made messages available to teachers separately from the standard school messages.

Access the Messages > Library tab
In Messages XR Enterprise, select Messages and open the Library tab.
Inside the Library, one or two tabs may appear depending on the platform configuration:
- Teacher Communications messages: Displays all custom and pre-made messages available to teachers in the district or school. This tab is only visible when the Teacher Communications add-on is enabled.
- School messages: Displays all pre-made messages for administrators and staff across every school and district site.
Teacher Communications
Teacher Communications is a purchased add-on to Messages XR Enterprise built specifically for educators. To learn more, contact a Client Success Manager or email clientsuccess@finalsite.com.
Add a category
Both district and school administrators can create a new category within the Message Library.
- Step 1: In Messages XR Enterprise, select Messages and open the Library tab.

Step 2: Select Add Category.

Step 3: Fill in the category details:
- Select the District or any individual School for the category.
- Enter a Name for the category.
- Select the checkbox next to Allow child organizations to use this category to let school administrators within the district send messages in the new category.
- Enter the category Description.
- The box next to Allow this category visible on CC option under Account->Others is checked by default. Deselect the checkbox to disable this as a visible option to senders.
- Step 4: Select Save.
The new category will appear in the left panel of the Library.
Add a new custom message
Administrators can create custom messages within any category for teachers and staff to use.
- Step 1: In Messages XR Enterprise, select Messages and open the Library tab.
- Step 2: Select the message category from the left panel.
- Step 3: Select Add Message.
- Step 4: Add Title, Select languages, Create the message content.
- Step 5: Select Save.
The new custom message will appear under the selected category and will be available to users in their Saved Messages area.
Manage message visibility
District administrators can control which pre-made messages are visible to users by school type - for example, High School, Middle School, or Elementary.
