Delivery Preference Real World Scenarios

Scenario #1: Emergency Communication: When there’s an emergency at your child’s district or school, you’ll want to make sure that you have contact information listed.

  • Click into each icon in the Emergency category and confirm where this communication will be sent.
  • Check the box to opt-in to receive communication to this number or address.
  • Uncheck the box to opt-out from receiving communication to this number or address.

Scenario #2: Non-emergency Communication: Other categories are communications sent to you regarding, for example, your child’s attendance or lunch balance.

  • You may want to receive only text messages about lunch balance BUT phone calls and text messages for attendance.
  • Select the preferences that work best for you and your family.

Important Note
Some delivery preferences need to be adjusted in another location, such as the app. A message will appear when you need to go to that location to turn on or off a certain delivery mode elsewhere.
You may also receive a message reminding you that you need to go add a certain delivery mode before being able to adjust the preference here.

Upload a signature

In the Signature area of your Account Info tab, you can upload a file so that a personal signature will be added to any emails you send.

Add or edit reply-to contact information

  • Reply-to phone number: The phone number added here is what is inserted into communication when merge tags are used to customize messaging. This does not serve as a way to control which phone number is displayed when calls are sent out.
  • Reply-to email address: This email address will display as the sender email address when sending out emails.

Important Note

Teachers and other staff members are required to add reply-to addresses for students and parents to be able to respond to messages.

Specify a message results email

Here you may want to set an email address to receive an email notifying you when any messages you have sent out are expired. This will only send out once everything is completed.
